The Board of Management engages in strategic planning and tracks the development of the school with reference to this strategic plan. The current strategic plan sets out the Board’s priorities and replaces the school’s development plan which was developed in response to the school’s Whole School Evaluation Inspection carried out by the DES Inspectorate in 2009, DES initiatives and school initiatives.
The current plan (available on request from the Principal by emailing principal@stv.ie) is centred on the four domains of practice for Leadership and Management outlined in the DES ‘Looking at Our Schools’ document: Leading Learning and Teaching, Managing the Organisation, Leading School Development and Developing Leadership Capacity. It is a dynamic document which is updated regularly to track progress on school priorities and is the overarching document guiding the School Self Evaluation process and the development of the school. The overarching priority is to fulfil the school mission statement and to be faithful to the vision mission and values of our Ceist Charter:
